Cardinals (Wool Felted Animals in Frame)

Cardinals (Wool Felted Animals in Frame)
“Cardinals” is an ode to these special birds that visit our home feeders regularly – and are a symbol of the State of Ohio. This diorama wall display will surely delight you and your guests and add interest to your home. Brighten your days with this original, one-of-a-kind handmade artwork!
The birds are needle-felted from sheep’s wool, tail feathers are pressed wool and cut to shape, with glass eyes, sculpted and painted beaks, claws with wound string, sitting in a rectangular wooden box frame with a collection of natural materials (wood twigs, bark and moss) with painted back.
Please note:
Needle felting is a craft that uses barbed needles to interlock wool fibers into dense shapes. Each item is handmade and thus individual. While time-consuming to construct, the results can be very realistic and rewarding on display. This sculpture is a work of art that is fairly fragile and not intended to be a toy – please keep out of reach of small children and pets.
